The idea that some billionaires stole all of the labor people put into content on the internet, and then want to CHARGE US for using it, is making my Marx-beard grow at an accelerated rate.

I was trying to explain that LLMs can't be conscious because of how their memory works.

"It's like Case talking to the Dixie Flatline in Neuromancer"

"I never read that."

Out of left-field: Honda should've called this a CRX.

It's a CRX. Everyone can see that it's a CRX. It's not a Prelude. No more than "That Lotus Elan No One Speaks Of" was a Lotus Elan.

I feel like everyone loves PLUR1BUS and that's disconcerting.

Dear @powells.bsky.social : your site's search is terrible. Search is a solved problem; how did you make it worse?

As an example: "The Spare Man" with quotes returns the novel "The Spare Man" as the THIRD result. What?!?

(Disregard if this is an intentional driver for foot traffic.)

Can you really be all-in on Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism if you're a member of the Petite Bourgeoisie?

@nytimes.com seems to think that Ross Douthat is a great axle upon which to pivot towards becoming the premier broadsheet of a Post-American Medieval Christian Nationalist Dystopia.

There's a reason @apnews.com gets my money, and the far-right-curious goons at our "Newspaper of Record" don't.

You'd think there'd be a way for @democrats.org to excommunicate John Fetterman.

The idea that a penny of my donation money could go to that brain-damaged DINO is offensive.

I've had a stroke, and I approve this message.

@democrats.org should put up large public soup kitchens in rural areas. And free healthcare tents.

You want my money, DNC? That's what I want my money to do. You need to show people what the Democratic platform is: caring for Americans. All of them.

Step 1: Starve your population
Step 2: Mass Protests
Step 3: Violently Suppress with Military
Step 4: Cancel Elections Because "Emergency"
Step 5: Profit!

The only good thing about discovering that the Counter-Strike skins market crashed, was that I discovered I had $300 in sellable crap I don't care about.

I am set for like the next six Steam Summer Sales! Woohoo!

It may all seem terrible out there, but...

Sometimes, tiny thumb-sized dinosaurs come to my porch to drink sugary water out of a bowl shaped like a flower, and that's cool.

The fact that we're spending Trillions on replacing knowledge workers with AI and not spending Trillions on "a tiny robot that cleans your toilet every night while you sleep" explains everything about the future job market.

The simple solution is for everyone in America to register as a Republican, and run as Republicans, and vote in the Republican primaries.

If we're going to have a Single Party system, let's just get out in front of it now.

I can't believe they're starting a Civil War over "The guy we report to raped some girls and he wants you all to be okay with that."

It's even stupider than "Our entire economy depends on owning Black people."

Getting a cold in the post-COVID era is like waking up in 1947 Italy to discover your town is under siege by Kublai Khan. You're like "What—How are you still around? And is that a HORSE?"

Then he proceeds to fuck up your life with mounted cavalry because you built too much urban car infrastructure.

Dear MAGA: when "liberals come for you", you'll know.

You'll know because you'll have a lawyer, and a jury, and your constitutional rights and the due process of law.

That's the difference between MAGA and the majority of Americans.

I love how the @nytimes.com can spin a headline into "Questions Swirl around [Obvious Fact] as [Inveterate Liars] Suggest [Batshit Conspiracy] May Offer Explanation"

Way to Journalist, guys. You're going to win the BIGLIEST award for this reporting.

For over 25 years, I thought the act of rebuilding a RAID array was "reslivering" because it was putting those "slivers" of data back in order on the new device. Like it's a shattered piece of wood.

TIL it's "resilvering" because it's rebuilding a mirror so the image is complete.

Bone apple tea.
