Auschwitz was liberated on January 27, 1945, by the Soviet Red Army, which found about 7,000 prisoners left behind, many of whom were seriously ill. The liberation revealed the horrific conditions and the scale of Nazi atrocities committed at the camp during the Holocaust.-wiki

What amazes me about the Blairite wing of the Labour Party, is how open they are about wanting to sacrifice the party’s core values for power, and then squander it. “Every day, we should drag a sacred cow of our party to the town market place and slaughter it” said Wes Streeting.
