Day 2 in the desert near Sidi Idni. Great early morning with 2 lifers: Striped Scrub Warbler and Tristram's Warbler. Also several Desert Warblers.
Later Hoopoe and Desert Larks, many Desert and Redrumped Wheatear. Ended at a small pool teeming with Chiffs, LRP and Green Sandpipers.

Good to be back in Morocco, though most of the day spent travelling. Star bird a fab Mouussier's Redstart just outside the hotel. Also several Hooded Wheatear, many Common Bulbul's, House Buntings, Laughing Doves.

Yellow-Browed Warbler still showing in area to the rear of the bee hives at Trevilley early PM. We couldn't find yesterday's Little Bunting in the hedgerows. #cornwallbirding

Last day on Scilly, despite a cancelled Ferry and hastily arranged flight it's been great. One lifer (Mourning Dove) but it's Firecrests everywhere, Ouzels,Thrushes, Jack Snipe that make the place special. That and friends to share a beer with. Thanks to @p-sharpe.bsky.social for making it fun.

Great birding on St Agnes, Isles of Scilly today. The Mourning Dove showed well and was a lifer for us. Also: American Pipit, Hoopoe and plenty of common species to keep us amused. 🙃

Morning on Cairngorm, lucked in on Ptarmigan just before the cloud closed in. Afternoon spent on the Black Isle: single Barnacle Goose among thousands of Pinkies, 200+ Scaup on the Firth, 20+ Slavonian Grebes.

Lovely day birding the area between Thirso and John O' Groats in Caithness. Group found Bony's was a highlight but so much more to enjoy: 5 Hen Harriers, our most Northern Great Egret, 3 Diver species, Eiders and so much more. Sadly few passerine migrants, just 2 Wheatear.

Some pre breakfast Black Grouse action from day 1 of our Heatherlea trip. Day continued well with excellent views of Cresties, a Golden Eagle, 2 WT Eagles, Red Grouse. Also Crossbills, Redpoll and plenty of Red Squirrels

The tiny Todd's Canada Goose (🤞for my ID) at Hesketh Out Marsh today. Also: our first Pinkies of the Autumn, a good range of common waders, Great and Little Egret, Spot Fly. A gorgeous Barn Owl circumnavigated the car park as we watched the goose and a Weasel showed as we left. Lovely site.
