Looking forward to engaging with folks on this platform!
It was an incredible honor to represent the City of Columbus at the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact Global Forum as we were awarded a Special Mention for our efforts to reduce food waste through collaboration, education, rescue, and composting.

Thank you MORPC for inviting me to present a PechaKucha at last week’s Sustainability Summit on the work the City of Columbus is doing to reduce food waste, how our food systems are feeding landfills instead of people, and how food is a human right.

We are at Barack Recreation Center today helping distribute trees to residents with Green Columbus. Didn’t reserve one? Stop by at 12:45pm to snag any that are left.
Calling for those who are perpetrating a genocide to be dealt with is not anti-Semitic. Nor is calling out Israel and the Israeli government for their actions. We have to stop conflating Israel and Judaism. They are not the same. www.dispatch.com/story/news/l...

I stopped wearing my Star of David necklace after its symbol was being used to support a genocide.

Today, I am reclaiming it with a symbol being used to show support for Palestine (which is now being deemed anti-Semitic).

Now all Jews are Zionists and many of us support our Palestinian neighbors.
A group of native ground nesting bees have moved into the grounds of the Division of Refuse Collection's Administrative Office and I'm working with staff to make sure they have a bit of protection.

Pics from our Refuse all-staff meeting where we discussed the big changes coming to trash collection schedules!

Did you know your trash day may be changing? Download the Pickup CBUS to see your schedule and never miss a trash collection day! #PickupCBUS
These changes will reduce the number of miles our refuse trucks drive and the total number of trucks on the road (without reducing the number of workers) in order to be more efficient and sustainable as the city continues to grow.
The week of September 1, 2025, the City of Columbus Division of Refuse Collection will introduce new trash collection schedules for households receiving weekly city pickup service. One-half of households serviced will see a change in their collection day and collection color. #PickupCBUS
