Decided to clean up my Word folders and found long-lost stories and notes. What fun to see what I was plotting out way back when! #writingcommunity #writing

This is an actual exchange from a VP who took an oath to defend the constitution and, as a citizen, is expected to abide by the law.

May we one day have accountability for the grotesque lawlessness of this regime.
The breadsticks alone, oh my.

Not a question for Jen, but a question for #FreelanceFriends folks: I'm hosting next week, looking at community building, and would love to hear what questions folks have as I work on organizing next week's materials.
So true! When you're in the trenches, it's easier to spot the phonies, but also easier to find great colleagues. #freelancefriends
Totally agree. If they aren't equipped to hire based on your existing work, they have no business hiring. #freelancefriends
This exactly, Matt. Too many hang out their shingles, then fake it as they're collecting your money. #freelancefriends
Q3: Look for courses that teach you the business end of writing. You've got the talent, presumably.

Signs that the resource is a scam -- constant upsell. Repetitive content. And EVERYTHING has a price tag. Talk with other freelancers. We know who's scamming!

Ah yes, the old spray-and-pray method of marketing. ;) #freelancefriends
Well, I kind of go to you, Jenn. ;) #freelancefriends
Q2: Marketing consistently. (Paula knew I'd say that.) Market. Every. Day. Even if it's touching base with a single client or meeting a new one on social media, marketing will keep your business alive.

Q2: As someone who hears from freelancers every day, which business skills would you say most freelancers today are lacking, or could improve upon?

Learning to say no is the most important thing, isn't it? Like Devon always says, "'No' is a complete sentence." #freelancefriends
Wow, so many familiar faces! Hi, everyone! #freelancefriends
Hi, Dava! Good to see you. :) #freelancefriends
