I think the anime does a pretty good job of at least giving a sense of the priorities of Kotoyama's character design aesthetics even if it doesn't fully capture it (pretty natural for anime in general), and doing that I think is a reasonable accomplishment 🙂‍↕️

I know some people will accuse me of this being a horny thing because it sure is for Kotoyama, but I just very much like the aesthetic of the gangly, spindly, slender, pointy limbs.

So I guess I have to thank the horny for making art that appeals to my aesthetic enjoyments.

Watched the first five episodes of Yofukashi no Uta last night as much as I enjoy the characters and story, often the thing that's the biggest takeaway from me is how good the arms, legs, and hands are (usually as a subset of body language).
