Common Ground-Doves may also be possible in Austin. They are in Bexar & Guadalupe Counties. As to the White-tipped--the photographer that guides on El Potrero calls them Dove-zilla based on their size. They are noticeably bigger than White-winged doves and the eye ring is distinctively different.

Many count milestones by numbers ending in zeros (100, 1000, etc). At heart I'm a computer guy. The smartest computer still, at its heart, only understands binary--1 or 0, on or off. So reaching 256 followers (100000000 in base 2) is a neat accomplishment. Thanks for joining me on this journey.

This was my first encounter with a coyote within reach of my camera. This one had an injury to one of his ears, apparently the result of an unfortunate interaction with a human.
