Using cutting edge scientific equipment, the team will test the metallic make up of Rome’s earliest cast coinage, aes grave. By better understanding the composition of these coins the team will question the origins of Roman money and what this means for the evolution of economic systems.

Today we started teaching the first ever co-designed and taught joint MA module between the University of London (ICS/KCL) and British Museum (Greece & Rome)!

The module provides hands-on experience in a real-world #museum environment, with half the classes taught behind the scenes at the BM.

Josephine will develop Songs of Solidarity, an international music-theatre project, with director Maria Åberg, composer Marouf Majidi, & 5 acclaimed migrant writers. The project will weave together ancient narrative forms with contemporary stories of displacement to create a new collective epic.
