I really don’t understand why some of the norms of the pre 2016 times didn’t get solidified in law from 2021-2023. (Granted many laws are being ignored right now)
But MAYBE DOJ also needs to be independent of the executive branch. (Or at least a piece of it)
Do you feel like it’s helpful to have a defeatist attitude? The war for democracy hasn’t been decided and needs hopes high/people who believe in their own power and agency to win.
My biggest question is why release it? The guy already surely has a tainted jury pool; why further provide information that could lead to bias in the jury?

I would argue it was a bigger mistake not to try to pull RFK into the fold. MAHA would have never happened and there’s a lot of granola centrist, possible Dems.
While I think this is a great idea, the big problem right now is laws aren’t self enforcing. The issue isn’t that there aren’t laws to handle *all of this*, it’s that they aren’t being enforced.
