I was a little let down when (a long time ago) I learned The New Scooby-Doo Movies was just hour-long TV episodes, but there's still something about that title that makes them feel a little more significant.

2026 is the year of Star Trek movies and it begins tonight.
I finished The Original Series a year ago and I'll finish The Next Generation in June. I had to pick up the set of movies to be ready to watch the TNG movies starting this summer and then I can start Picard in 2027.

I'm assuming they're trying to get the best of both worlds with this release schedule: Give people enough to have a mini-binge, get them invested. Then slow, make it feel like you can be caught up, give people time to talk & trend.

There's not much in The Rockford Files that's unique to its premise. It's mostly James Garner, who hasn't been acting much since his death, and style & feel, which isn't likely to be matched.

That release finally came and I got to start the show this week. It was some good, fun silliness. Looking forward to more!
