Made a new logo for Mutable, my app/extension for replacing stressful stuff online with pics of kittens. Should be rolling out to every browser in the next few days along with some bug fixes!

That's not a bad idea, would have to see the bandwidth limitations though. Morse code in particular would be extremely tight otherwise it'd likely require too large of a file size.

Anyone know of any standardized way to encode data as human audible sound? I’m planning for a project that requires putting data into ATRAC encoded audio and am looking into a method that can survive the compression while also being relatively standard so I don’t reinvent the wheel.

It’s definitely not photosynthesis, way too fast for that. Aquarium plants often exhibit something similar when damaged and gasses are allowed to exit the tissue, maybe in this case the bud erupting through some membrane either allowed some air to leak or trapped oxygen was released all at once?
