My sons are 25 and 23 and both convocate this year. As they head into their last reading week as undergrads their futures look bright. One for law school and the other Grad studies in English. It’s early but they will have choices where to go. I’m excited for them.

I just met one of my unknown heroes. An 89 year old returning his bike rental. Practises medicine part time. Rides everyday. One of the young doctors who came to Saskatchewan when most of our doctors went on strike over Medicare in 1962. My unplanned trip to Mexico was worth it.

My wife and I hosted Christmas for our large blended family. We prepared a lot in advance and put in a pretty big day yesterday and as everyone was leaving I realized I didn’t make buns. A real let down.

The only way to get this thing to fit in my giant electric roaster was to remove every bone but for lower wings and drums. But it’s stuffed sewn up and ready to go.

For reasons that make no sense I set my medium km goal for the calendar year as 100km for every year I’m in. Not looking forward to 70th year.

This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

USA citizens parroting government talking points on Antifa as a terrorist org. and paid “No Kings” protesters without any evidence provided are essentially admitting that the Trump government is an absolute disaster at terror intelligence gathering and they’re okay with it.

Article in WAPO - the USA reneges on deals with MS-13 informants in custody in order to deport them to El Salvador seems unbelievable but it’s Rubio and Trump making the deal. Jeopardizing the international fight on crime so that Bukele and Trump can appear to be tough on crime is right on point.

How can you claim to be the Queen of the Kingdom of Canada when you earlier gave an undertaking to court (which represents King Charles III) and then arrested by the RCMP (which represents King Charles III) for breaching that undertaking? You would think the “Queen” would have more power.
