I think I’m the only person who missed the Northern Lights in Colorado last night. But I was out exercising instead and found Prada shoes for $8 in my (new) shoe size, so I’m going to be OK. 😅

So I started Mounjaro in October 2022. I weighed 297 pounds at my highest and my A1C was 7.3. This morning, I weighed in at 146 pounds and my A1C was 4.9. I’ve been on this a while and I’ve learned some things. This is what I wish I knew when I first started.

I had my left knee replaced December 2024 and manipulated this past February. It has not been an easy recovery. Harder than anyone expected, actually. A perfect knee is -10 (straight) and 140 (bent). My surgical team was pleased when they got me to +4 and 120ish.

So I tried Zenni. Never again. They apparently can’t make the lens I need, but didn’t bother disclosing that before charging. They also won’t refund my supposedly-express shipping cost for sending me unusable glasses. Avoid.

I was feeling sad today, so I let myself exercise at TJ Maxx after PT and then I came home and donated what I’d planned to spend to Sister Carmen Community Center—an amazing local organization that was a lifeline for me and so many other neighbors post-Marshall Fire.

Still struggling to get working lenses. Every place I’ve tried has to send the frames in… and then I just don’t have glasses for two weeks. No such thing as a local place that traces frames, apparently. Going to call two independent places in Aurora and Arvada tomorrow. I’m going to scream.

I’ve been trying since December to get the right lenses for my glasses. I’ve been misdiagnosed, paid for glasses frames AND lenses twice at my local Target, had them make and remake lenses 5 times (maybe 6, I’ve honestly lost count) and it’s still not right.

I got lectured by my PT for working out too much and that will never not be funny. I’m now banned from the gym on PT days. Currently sitting on my couch like a lump. I’m apparently stressing out my new knee by going too often. Oops.

Mounjaro is so funny. I've basically lost weight by the 1/2 ounce for the past few months. Slooooow but steady. And then last week, I dropped 5 pounds. Just like that.

I usually skip Tylenol because it just makes me nauseated. But I took some last night and now my baby has declared herself to be Queen Of The Strawberries, Ruler Of All Under Her Eye. She won’t stop posing and I don’t know what to do. Please avoid this dangerous medication at all costs.
