I really love the videos @tomvanderlinden.bsky.social has been making and this one hits me deep inside. I love it when a movie makes you think about who you are as a person and additionally prompts you to rise up and change. The movies mentioned here did the same to me.
To act in this world is to put yourself in moral peril, to shake the foundations of your own philosophy, sometimes overwhelmingly so. In such times, when you're no longer sure which way is right, where do you go? Who do you become?

I had some C++ code crashing today because of dreadlocks. I asked Copilot to find the culprit in the code telling it specifically which mutex to analyze. It said everything was good. Manually going through the code path did reveal the deadlock. Human for the win.

Why did IDF admit to killing the three hostages? Because one of the soldiers would eventually leak that info out of guilt. If the dead were innocent Palestinians then it would be easier to swallow the guilt.

Now that the meaning of the word "antisemitism" has been diluted, maybe Arabs should reclaim their "Semetic" roots and assert that antisemitism applies to them too.
