Songs of Slow Burning Earth began filming immediately after February 24, 2022. It premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2024 and has since then won numerous awards at international festivals in Latvia, USA, Czech Republic, Belgium, Poland and Hungary.

The Ukrainian film, Songs of Slow Burning Earth, directed by Olha Zhurba, has been shortlisted for the #EuropeanFilmAward for Best Documentary. IMS provided the first funding for the film, which captures how life in Ukraine changed during Russia's invasion.

31 journalists were reported killed in an Israeli airstrike in Yemen last Wednesday. The attack struck the offices of Al-Yaman and 26 September newspapers as staff were printing the paper.

Targeting journalists is a war crime.
