Absolute treat to find this little one in my garden this evening!

It was in an area that wouldn't have been easy for it to get out, so it was moved into the veg beds, where it can hopefully snack on all the visiting 🐌🐌🐌🐌

The @bmfforum.bsky.social's Interfaith Gardening and Green Food picnic last weekend, as part of the @london.gov.uk's #MayorsCommunityWeekend, was such an enjoyable day 😍

I loved sharing plants from Incredible Edible Barnet with people from across Barnet and beyond. And the food was delicious too 😋

Please please please please please can this government not go down the route of the last lot who changed department secretaries every five minutes.

Surely it takes at least ten to figure out what's going on and sort out some of the 1000s of issues.

It's called #Climateflation… It's pushing food prices ever higher – and changing how we eat.

Extreme heat, droughts & floods are proving disastrous for farmers on the frontline of #climatecrisis, disrupting supply chains, and intensifying inflationary pressures.

I've been digging into PAN's latest data about council's use of pesticides in 2024 and sadly it's not a pretty picture in Barnet 😞

Compared to other London LAs, Barnet council:

👎 Used the most herbicides (3546 l/kg)
👎 Was 5th worst for litres per sq km
👎 Was 7th worst for cost (£120k)
