Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the Survivors of these institutions.

The process of reconciliation will and must continue beyond this one day.

Although in-person support services are currently tax-exempt for PWD, the same is not the case for virtual services. PWD often have barriers to accessing in-person services.

As the CDB rolls out, many advocates warn it’s not enough to close these gaps and in some provinces, it won’t even increase net income.
