Delighted to be at the the launch of the exhibition & art installation 'Food not Cuts' at The #FoodMuseum, Stowmarket. It was lovely to meet members of the disability, neurodivergent, & carers communities, some of whom I was lucky enough to co-curate with. Please do visit! #MuseumEducation
Week 3 of the Time Team dig at Sutton Hoo & I've lost count of how many days I've been up here! Here I'm helping to process amazing finds mostly from the Stone Age through to the Anglo Saxon period. Also, doing shifts explaining to the public what we're doing. 😃
Happy to be back for the second year of Time Team excavations at Sutton Hoo. Three days engaging with public this week.
Since the Autumn I've been involved in an inclusive co-curation project at The Food Museum, Stowmarket. The resulting exhibition is due to open next month. Tomorrow we get to hear for the first time the finished sound installation the group has created with the help of sound technician Lucia.

In my enthusiasm I forgot to alt-text the GIF which shows Edith Pretty (as played by Carey Mulligan) emerging to say to Basil Brown (acted by Ralph Fiennes) that they should go & take a look at what he's found -The imprint of an Anglo Saxon ship with wonderful grave goods!
Looking forward tonight to attending the preview of Sutton Hoo's new temp exhibition 'The Dig: A Story Unearthed'. It opens to the public this Thu (8th) as a prelude to the 2nd Time Team excavation which starts there on 19th May. I'm excited to say I'll be playing a part in the dig again this year!

Flashback to last Summer & the excitement of seeing the bottom section of the Bromeswell Bucket start to emerge, helping to process finds, & sharing select information with the public at the Summer '24 excavations at Sutton Hoo. Really hoping to have similar opportunities this year. #archaeology
