Yes I adore him too. Shopping Bag Ladies is beautiful. Song For My Mother from his debut is my absolute favourite.

Y'know I've never seen him and I was such a big fan in my early teens. He played Tamworth a few years back but it was one of those nightmare cheesy 80s festival things. My dislike for outdoor gigs combined with my hatred for Bucks Fizz kept me well away from that 😬🤣

It was a strange one actually. It wasn't truly live. They gave away tickets in a competition to a special Birmingham NEC concert where they were miming to a recording. They just wanted to video extra crowd footage for a live video they were doing 🤷♀️

Well yeah my first concert was aged 6 with my mom, then aged 10 I saw Kids from Fame with a friend and aged 13 I was chaperoned to Duran Duran. My first real gigs on my own weren't until 1987.
