My great-aunt knitted this hat for my mother. Both have passed away since. But I would love to make one myself but don't know which stich auntie used, detail on the second picture. She explained it to me, but that was more than 30 years ago!

This is a learning progress! I knew that knitting through front or back loop matters & also which way around the loop is on needles & purl with yarn in front or back gives a different output.

This pattern puts them into practice... After several attempts I think I've got it? Maybe... #knitting 🧶

#SewAndTell Scary... Well, altering this very expensive dress comes to mind. I was asked to shorten the hem and add loops, so it can be worn as a long, short, or high-low dress.

So I cleared my table... took away all distractions... and started. Mindfulness indeed 😅
