I’m an artist and shadowhunter, deeply connected to the forest, I investigate how light relates to darkness, both literally and metaphorically.

New work in the series Building a Poem, within the series, each work has its own story. This piece consists only of text, so I’ll let it speak for itself.

I love this play of light; this is in my home, it brings so much life. After the sun disappeared behind a cloud, only a flat panel remained.

Keep on going and going..newest project means writing a lot. I’m questioning what’s happening in the world, what it could mean, what our options could be. Questions that I’ve shaped like a network of roots. Because I think there is a similarity. Later more!

My beloved view, every morning I take some time to breathe in the air and watch the trees and birds. Love those 3 birds in the top, turned east, catching some sunlight this cold winter morning.

Building a Poem-Fungal spores

In this series, just like in a poem, structure and rhythm play an important role.
I’m deeply fascinated by the underground fungal network in the forest, of which mushrooms are the visible fruit. The spores of mushrooms have inspired me to create this work.

Building a Poem-Dusk and Dawn
One of my favorite motifs is light seen through trees, especially at dusk and dawn. When the trees are dark and therefor silhouettes. When the air becomes increasingly lighter,or, the lights that slips away. This work also tries to come closer to the depths of darkness.
Beautiful walk in the forest in the morning, with frozen water drops.
Hi, I’m Inge Bleumink, artist based in The Netherlands.
My work revolves around light, darkness, and the forest, both literally and metaphorically. I’m a shadow hunter, deeply connected to the forest and societal developments occupy my mind. All of these elements find their way into my work.
