The spectacle of American football. I went as a group of 8 women football fans… once a year is plenty!

Hotel Chocolat has a delicious #vegan chocolate assortment. I bought it in Oxford UK… wish it was easy to find in the US!

2941 Restaurant in northern Virginia doesn’t seem #vegan friendly on their actual menu, but with advance notice they can make a nice vegan tasting menu. #whatveganseat

Sunflower Restaurant in Virginia. Odd flavors. The Japanese BBQ sauce tasted like peanut butter and the curry was salty. Oh well.

I have had “Hollycraft dragon’s breath“ saved in my eBay searches for about 15 years. One finally came up and it’s a bracelet from 1958. I wore it last night to accessorize with my colorful dress and purse. It has many of the littlest stones missing but you can’t tell unless you look closely!

…and play on the host's 9 foot Steinway concert grand piano. It's probably a $200,000 instrument. Wow! So last Sunday I played my Nicolai Dracula transcription. I want you to envision this amongst performances of Chopin, Schubert, Scarlatti, and more Chopin. It actually went over really well …

I have a penchant for transcribing orchestral horror movie soundtracks on the piano, or that is, arranging them for piano and then transcribing them into sheet music. It has become a rather niche skill of mine over the years. Il Conte Dracula (the Jess Franco film, score by Bruno Nicolai) …

My newest instrument: a Michelsonne toy piano from 1960s France. Known as the Stradivarius of toy pianos, with a sweeter sound than typical toy pianos. 👍 The case was jammed shut when it arrived, so I had to take it apart to engage the keys.
