I was working on an article that talked about diversity in biological sex when I came across a paper discussing hormonal weight gain during puberty. As I read through it, I had a moment of realization: This sounds like me. So, I sent the paper to my doctor and asked if we could explore it further.

As someone that has lost 145 lbs in 4 years, this is offensive. I actually didn’t know why I was overweight, but it was NOT because I lacked self control. Come to find out, it was because of a hormone condition that happens to people when they go through puberty. Got on the right med, lost weight. πŸ™ƒ

Gender is about IDENTITY. It can express in a variety of ways too.
