"One seven-teacher school in Co Kildare lost a teacher simply because enrolment slipped from 161 to 160. This severe blow resulted in the 160 children having to be redistributed across 6 classrooms – packed in like sardines, while down the corridor the classroom with no teacher has been left empty."

📢 INTO welcomes long-awaited Minor Works & ICT Grant payments for 2025/26.

The INTO has consistently highlighted the importance of timely and predictable school funding. The delay in issuing the Minor Works Grant this year caused much uncertainty for school leaders.
