only ice anyone should be defending is in the polar regions but I doubt many of these spineless cowards in office will do much to protect vulnerable communities by abolishing ice

I wasn't worried about it with how blurry it is in the background, I'm just surprised I missed it in the pictures on my initial observation

You’re gonna have to be patient for this one. This little Gastropod veliger larva (sea snail) starts out in its shell, but soon feels brave enough to come out and show us its glorious velum! Such a pretty little babe. 🦑 #plankton

after we cleaned up, a pair of ravens flew over us, croaking & swooping between each other, then as we reached our car, the same ravens flew by us again

no tears this time, my grandma was calming & grounding compared to my grandpa & I knew I made the right choice connecting w/ her to heal
invertebae.bsky.social
I picnicked w/ my grandma & we had tea, sandwiches, scones, & I left her some milk as is traditional in Scottish ancestor veneration

I also brought her some flowers, sea shells, sea glass, rocks that I've tumbled recently, cleared her grave with a heather besom, & burned some saining herbs for her

I stopped by to see my grandpa in the San Francisco National Cemetery before we go to my grandma's grave & while I was talking to him, a raven showed up & started croaking at me, so naturally, I started crying

this is the theme of my day so far, just constant crying
