ITT: Lately, I've become hesitant to respond to posts, esp. #gaming related ones, here on Bluesky.
If I try to reply, (you know, actually engage socially on a 'social media platform'), I end up with dismissive replies. Ppl act like I invaded their bubble or get snide try to be insulting.

12-hour shift? Why SURE I will. Not that I had a choice, as it was either volunteer to come in early or risk being drafted for over tonight. Probably end up coming in early again tomorrow, too.

As someone who suffered 9 years in retail Hell, I fully agree.
Nobody WANTS to cut short a holiday weekend bc of work, but many are forced to.
If you, choosing to go shopping today, make an employee's life miserable, you should be slapped senseless.
(If you can avoid going out today, stay home.)

Thanksgiving dinner consumed. Lounged a bit after & have made it back home from the in-laws.
So thankful we live close enough that the total travel time is a total of 20 minutes instead of what used to be 2 hours.
