A twitter refugee like most of you. Hoping for a better country but now skeptical we'll see that in my lifetime. Data security by day, trying to make sense of the world by night (and sometimes during the day, too).

Gonna be crazy starting like next year when no Trump admin officials are able to travel outside the country.

LOL, farmers absolutely want their checks. They will be fine with literally every other Trump admin action so long as they get their checks. They should get nothing at all. They expected others to suffer, fuck them.

There is no better feeling than being hard at work and looking over at your sleeping dog. It's just instant happiness knowing they feel safe and are just waiting for you to look at them so they can bound up like "what are we doing now?!"

"Can you tell us which of his views you disagree with, which are contrary to Christ's teachings?"

"You know the ones."

"Can you describe just one?"

"Well, I'll be cancelled if I do!"

Remember literally 11 months ago when it was inconceivable that a sitting president would use his office to blatantly enrich himself? Ah, the old days.

I'm guessing his review of Waiting for Guffman is much more positive (as it should be!)

And, you know, if Trump being on the ballot was even in doubt (I believe he should have been excluded), that fact alone should have made his supporters skeptical. Instead they used it as an excuse to support him more. That's on them.

Trump voters wanted what he was selling, they just didn't want to be personally affected. And few people are celebrating poor people generally suffering. Many of us are just sick of being expected to feel bad for people who wanted others to suffer but are now sad that they're the ones being hit.
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
I mean... how can we *not* blame voters for their votes? Doesn't it infantilize them when you say they're not responsible for their actions?? They voted for exactly what they wanted, they just expected other people to suffer.

"you never had anybody here who knew what the hell they were doing" Does he not remember his first term? He was there. I mean, it's actually a true statement as applies to himself, but this is so crazy.

Every functioning democracy uses extremely important time like cabinet meetings as television commercials for gross public displays of obeisance. That's just good, capable, serious governance.
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
It's maddening to see the media pattern of "we should only care about this behavior because now his most ardent supports say they're being hurt." Farmers matter not one iota more than an immigrant laborer, their stories are not more important. They *chose* this, so fuck 'em.
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
It's great to hear they're unhappy with Trump, but literally all they care about is their own personal bailouts. Fuck 'em. This is exactly what they voted for, they just expected other peoples' lives to be destroyed. Not one ounce of sympathy. Good luck guys, maybe start making better decisions.

Gonna be honest, it is absolutely jarring to see MTG speaking so reasonably at least for this 1 minute or so. I mean, she's absolutely terrible in every way, but hey, stopped clock twice a day, right?

All else aside, imagine living through the past 10 months and saying "those jobs are unionized, they absolutely cannot be replaced" smh. Braindead moron thought right there.

"which he denies" LOL. Exactly as you say, a complete misrepresentation.

How is it that journalists, especially editors, have sunk so low as to simply repeat assertions like this. Pathetic.
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
Journalists should ask him how the socioeconomic order shakes out in this fantasyland of plenty. He obviously doesn't believe he'll be on a level field with the rest of us, so what's his vision for the order?
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
A real journalist would immediately follow up with "are you saying there should be no more billionaires and millionaires? That you and your ilk would then become simply consumers like the rest of us?" Because there is a 0% chance he doesn't believe he should be at the top of the pile.

This is a great way to put it. People are lining up to be "I was always against pedophiles". They should never ever be allowed to wash the stink of Trump support off, though.

It's just amazing that the admin that's sending masked goons to kidnap and assault immigrants, legal or illegal, then signs a deal for a movie about Trump's immigrant wife who worked illegally. The whole party spend years demonizing every immigrant and then says "you should worship *our* immigrant."

We leased an Ionic 5 this summer and it is an absolutely amazing vehicle. If you told me 5 years ago that Hyundai and Kia would be leading automakers I would have laughed. But they're just great cars. The worst part is having to go to their dealerships. Love the car.

This needs to be expanded to include things like deciding that SCOTUS's Trump rulings are not actually law because they are not legitimate rulings. Trump's inevitable pardons are not valid, they can all be prosecuted. Everyone working for DOGE is prosecutable. Etc.
iplayguitarbad.bsky.social
Same should apply to corrupt pardons. The president is found to have violated his oath? His pardons are invalid, everyone is subject to prosecution. Why not? Laws aren't real they can be whatever we say they are. It's not like Repubs will act in good faith so long as Dems do.
