Quick example of local processing of 2 million + triples related to Pompeii. As noted, needs more documentation!! But @epoehler.bsky.social and I intend this as sustainable infrastructure encouraging re-use of our data. #Pompeii #ReproducibleReserch #OA #AncientSky
A first version of "Local RDF" Jupyter Notebook now at github.com/p-lod/p-lod-... . It will load an export of all 2 million + P-LOD triples and has two example SPARQL queries. Needs more comments, documentation, etc. Does mean there's full access to our triples w/o putting load on our triplestore.
p-lod-cookbook/p-lod-local-rdf.ipynb at main · p-lod/p-lod-cookbook
Code that works with P-LOD data. Contribute to p-lod/p-lod-cookbook development by creating an account on GitHub.

This year in B10 has been v. productive, esp. for ostraca! We have recovered > 120 in 3 weeks, incl. some large and interesting accounts, which may constitute a dossier if not ancient archive in Rm 9. Only study will tell us. In the meantime, they must smile for the camera! #amheida2026 #papyrology

The Arch of Hadrian, most commonly known as Hadrian's Gate, is a monumental gateway in Athens, here after the heavy snowfall in 2021. It has been proposed that the arch was built to celebrate the arrival of the Roman emperor Hadrian and to honor him in 131 or 132 AD. #RomanSiteSaturday
