Anyways, the world’s expectations on indie anime is not in my favour but tldr, I’d rather a small community anyways and I’m excited for my own shit, even if I’m slow because I am just 1 guy doing almost everything

I feel like rn I’m in the crayon art on fridge stage of composing and putting my music out there will be such a “aww baby me music” moment in the far future if I continue to compose.
I know I’m bad at it, I’m clumsy, it’s not structured, it’s messy but there’s still soul in it, and I like it

I used to put a lot of trust in the people who offered their help to me, but they’ve done nothing but put me down haha…
Which is why I trust in my eye to scout people who I deem worthy / rely on myself.

1 thing I’ve learnt working on 8SEN is that what others consider unreasonable is perfectly ME coded and that is FINE. It’s not impossible.

Which makes me wonder if I should invest more time in throwing up character interaction sketches as a compromise……
Tbh I’m still surprised (but pleasantly so) that some people have decided to support me on Patreon during the prep stages. It means the world !!!!

It’s tricky though I’m gonna be real, I know how to get people invested (I think) but right now, because I’m not pumping out weekly episodes like 2.0 and giving people the crumbs to connect with my characters, I’m in prep limbo hell which makes appealing to Patreon soooo hard

And honestly, my ultimate goal isn’t to have 8SEN explode like glitch or vivziepop stuff, if I can gather support that allows me to work on my own shows full time? THAT is the dream

The impossible standard for indie animation is so heavy on my shoulders ngl which is why I had to really scale everything down
And even then I feel bad for taking so long even tho that’s kinda realistic bc I have like, no studio/big team

Yes the teams are still online and smaller than an average studio but are unionized (which is great)
But what's the definition of indie anymore? When does the show/studio outgrow indie?
Sucks that the only perception of indie aren't really.. indie anymore.
