I train myself by employing a method of discipline by painting very small. There is no room for extraneous brushstrokes and the composition has to be exact. Let’s call this “Small Apple,Big On Red.”

Today’s progress. Slow going but happy with the results so far. Trees are much easier in pastel but it feels like real accomplishment to do this level of detail in pastel instead of loose bold swaths of color.
