If you weren't a turbonerd like me and heard there was one called Chillet who was Water/Dragon type, you would definitely think it was a Pokemon even after seeing it.

Like you have a monster named Rafael and attacks with Holy, you have one named Ponchomon who's a Virus type and one named Ferrothorn who's Grass/Steel. Even without familiarity you can tell which belongs to which franchise.

Besides Pokemon, I've also played Digimon and Persona. All three of these franchises have superficially similar elements but are very distinct from each other in how those elements work.

Incidentally, I think more people should get into Digimon. Cyber Sleuth was a good time.

What can I really say about Palworld? It's not the Pokemon killer, most of the game is just a base builder, with monster capture tacked onto it. The elements that are taken from Pokemon are lifted almost directly, right down to the Pal's designs.

A dub is a whole effort requiring many people, while a sub can realistically be done by a single person. The people involved in a sub's mannerisms are more likely to show through, though a modern dub where editing footage isn't really done is also restricted by the original lip flaps.
