Tre Jones has been incredible defensively on everyone except Naz Reid in this fourth quarter.

Causing all sorts of chaos for the Wolves' offense, who now has 7 turnovers in the 4Q
January 23, 2026 at 3:22 AM
Julius Randle is checking in to close it out here for Naz Reid, who completely changed the complexion of this game in the 4Q with his effort and timely play finishing on both ends.

Both guys have been excellent to overcome a quiet night from Anthony Edwards and 29 Bulls FTAs
January 23, 2026 at 3:15 AM
Don't look now, but Rudy Gobert has made 3 free throws in a row
January 23, 2026 at 3:08 AM
Just a classic Naz Reid game
January 23, 2026 at 3:07 AM
Some juice back in the building after a big Naz Reid swat and Anthony Edwards bucket on his first possession of the 4Q

Wolves keeping pace with the red hot shooting Bulls, who are now 16/34 from deep (47%)

Chicago has shot 53.2%, 43.5% and 39.5% in their 3 recent wins.
January 23, 2026 at 3:01 AM
"Ball don't lie, Tyler"

- Naz Reid, who then has some more words for the crew chief after that block

Bones Hyland did some mediation there to prevent a second T in as many trips
January 23, 2026 at 2:59 AM
The rare ginger-on-ginger crime in transition there, with Donte DiVincenzo blocking Kevin Huerter
January 23, 2026 at 2:54 AM
Wolves are 1-4 this season when allowing a free throw rate north of 40%
Bulls are again in the bonus, for the final 5:50 of the 3Q.

They've spent more than half the game in the bonus and the Wolves have hemorrhaged points while over the limit.

Chicago has 24 FTA, a FTA rate of .489, on pace to be the highest of the season for a Wolves opponent.

Bulls' offense in the first half...

While in the bonus (61.5% of possessions):
- 45 points on 32 poss.
- 140.6 offensive rating
- 4 non-shooting foul trips (8 FTA)

While not in the bonus (38.5% of possessions):
- 15 points on 20 poss.
- 75 offensive rating
- 10 FTA

Good sign that Naz Reid is checking back into the game just 4 minutes later
Naz Reid is grimacing up the floor holding that left shoulder that knocked him out of last weekend's game against San Antonio.

He's going to check out and go straight back to the locker room
January 23, 2026 at 1:59 AM
Matas Buzelis has had some really nice individual defensive reps on Anthony Edwards to go along with that monster dunk on Donte DiVincenzo

Really like his long term potential if his 3-point shot creeps closer to 40%. Size, playmaking and defensive instincts are all intruging

Bulls already have a 12-3 free throw attempt lead, and will be in the bonus for the final 8 minutes and change of the first half.

10 of Chicago's 32 points have come at the line; they're just 10/27 (37%) from the floor and their starters have just 16 points.
January 23, 2026 at 1:49 AM
Foul #3 for Anthony Edwards comes at the 9:02 mark of the second quarter, but Chris Finch is going to leave him out there for now.

Edwards wasn't too pleased with Justin Van Dyne on that call
January 23, 2026 at 1:47 AM
Wolves shoot 8/14 from 3 (57%), 3/13 from 2 (23%) in the first quarter, because of course they do.

Good enough to lead Chicago 32-26, despite leading by 14 at one point.

Naz Reid leads all scorers with 9, connecting on all 3 of his looks from deep.
January 23, 2026 at 1:38 AM
1H Joan Beringer minutes for the 5th straight game, tonight coming alongside Hyland, Conley, McDaniels and Reid.
January 23, 2026 at 1:32 AM
Naz Reid and Bones Hyland have 3 of the Wolves' 6 triples, equalling their total from Tuesday night in Utah.

Chris Finch said pregame that Bones needs to trust his shot and stay aggressive, and Hyland has done that so far. Already 4 triggers in relief of Anthony Edwards
January 23, 2026 at 1:29 AM
Rudy going 1/2 at the foul line raises his percentage. Improvement is all you can ask for!
January 23, 2026 at 1:27 AM
Anthony Edwards is back on the Wolves' bench after going to the back upon exiting the game with his 2nd foul.
January 23, 2026 at 1:23 AM
Another home game, another 1Q in foul trouble for Anthony Edwards.

He exits less than 4 minutes into the game with his 2nd foul, cutting short what has been a highly productive start for the Wolves' star.

5 points, 2 rebounds, a block and a dime.
January 23, 2026 at 1:21 AM
Jaden McDaniels is hounding Coby White and doing a solid job playing off stops the other way as a transition creator, now having created 5 of Minnesota's 8 fast break points.

Good bounce-back night for him thus far defensively
January 23, 2026 at 1:19 AM
Wolves running in transition very well and playing with good pace in the half-court -- already 6 FB PTS

11-3 Minnesota run, all scored by Edwards (first 5) and Randle (next 6), in the first 2:05

9 of the Wolves' 11 have come in transition or off second chances -- a great mark
January 23, 2026 at 1:15 AM
Bulls open in a 2-3 zone, which Anthony Edwards immediately carves up for a 14-footer to open things.

Good to see him knock one down early.
