Glen and Becky Taylor shared a thank you note this morning, as Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez are set to officially become majority partners of the Timberwolves and Lynx as soon as today.

The West is absolutely brutal now, and in the future, but the Wolves are going to be in the conversation for as long as Anthony Edwards wears Minnesota across his chest.

Now, new ownership is tasked with making sure it stays that way. Here's to a fun summer ahead.

When you pair Ant with one of the most well-respected and successful executives in Tim Connelly, that alone should help you sleep easy tonight, despite the somewhat long list of offseason questions that need answering over the next 6 weeks.

I'll save more comprehensive analysis for the days ahead, but Anthony Edwards being in the WCF twice before turning 24 is huge. He's added meaningful skills (and experience!) to his game each summer, too.

You need a 1-of-1, special dude to win a ring and he is one of them.

Julius Randle has been involved in plays resulting in 5 of the Wolves' 7 turnovers, while Naz Reid has been involved in 3 of them.

That duo is also shooting 2/5 from the floor with just 1 assist and 2 rebounds.

Unfortunate timing for them to struggle simultaneously
jackborman.bsky.social
Lowest scoring quarter of the season from the Wolves with 9.

Ant → 6 PTS on 2/5 FG, 0/2 3PT, 2/2 FT, 0 TO
Everybody else → 3 PTS on 1/15 FG, 1/7 3PT, 0 FTA, 4 TO

4 turnovers for 4 Thunder points, too.

The Timberwolves appear to have no interest in playing team basketball.

Whether they completely fracture or put the pieces back together and fight is up to them, but it is unbecoming of a team with as much talent and pride as this Wolves group.

Disappointing start
jackborman.bsky.social
Just 3 points for the Wolves, who have allowed an 11-0 run over the last 2:31 and find themselves in an 11-3 hole early.

Jaden McDaniels is 0/6 (inc. 3 wide open looks from 3), while Anthony Edwards is yet to take a shot.

Thunder up 8-0 in the paint, 4-0 on the break.

OKC has taken advantage of nearly every lucky break they've gotten in this game.

Some crazy right-place-right-time rebounds and grenades after terrific defensive possessions. Making the Wolves pay every time
jackborman.bsky.social
Ant having his worst defensive quarter of the playoffs at a horrible time.

Ballwatching like crazy
jackborman.bsky.social
This is an unbelievably great basketball game
jackborman.bsky.social
Impossible to put into words how big NAW has been in this game
jackborman.bsky.social
If I were Chris Finch I'd play Ant the whole fourth. This is the series.
jackborman.bsky.social
17 of OKC's 25 points in the third quarter came off turnovers or second chances.

Thunder have taken 75 shots to the Wolves' 56.

It's so hard to win a game when you get crushed *that* bad in FGA
jackborman.bsky.social
Donte DiVincenzo drills back-to-back 3s off excellent Naz Reid hammer screens and we are even at 79

DDV has 13 points, equalling his highest output of the playoffs (G5 vs GSW).

Bench as a whole is 9/13 from 3 (69%). Stars gotta take it home
jackborman.bsky.social
This is the loudest the building has been all night

Wolves are turning up the energy on the defensive end and the crowd is all about it.

That is what will propel the Wolves to even it at 2-2. Need all this energy
jackborman.bsky.social
OKC is taking some terrible shots in the early part of this 3Q but the Wolves can't capitalize because they can't rebound and they are struggling to knock down open shots.

Minnesota will lose the game unless they find a way to rebound. Everyone has to find a body
jackborman.bsky.social
Lu Dort made an incredible play to stop Anthony Edwards in transition, but then picked up his 4th foul on the loose ball.

Cason Wallace will enter for him to guard Ant
jackborman.bsky.social
Hell of a start from Anthony Edwards out of the locker room

Splits the help with an impressive drive + lefty finish, then throws a baseline rocket to Mike Conley in the corner for a big 3

5-0 Wolves spurt forces a Mark Daigneault timeout. 68-64 OKC
jackborman.bsky.social
Alex Caruso is starting the second half over Isaiah Hartenstein
jackborman.bsky.social
Wolves are in the bonus for the final 6:45 of the half.

They scored 45 points on 29 possessions in the bonus in Game 3, good for a 155 ORTG.

Need to keep playing aggressively for the remainder of the half to chip into a steady Thunder lead.
jackborman.bsky.social
Another good effort from TJ Shannon to spark the Wolves in the non-Ant minutes to start the 2Q, scoring 7 of the team's first 12 points.

Added a pair of super tough rebounds, but turned it over twice, too. Wolves stole both TOs back, though.
