📣Announcing Artful Connections - launching tomorrow!

A weekly creative arts group especially for women aged 18+.

Earlier this year we launched Man Made - our creative crafting group for men and several people asked us for a women's group.

We listened, and a few months down the line, here you are!

Since 2014 Jack Drum Arts has trained over 200 young filmmakers, many of whom have gone on to study at university, gone on to take BFI Film Academy Specialist Courses, progressed to work placements and eventually gone on to work in the industry.

We visited the Knife Angel in Newton Aycliffe today. Standing before this 27 foot sculpture, made from around 100,000 surrendered knives, was deeply moving. A powerful reminder of the impact of knife crime & a striking testament to how art can be a force for change. #knifeangel

✨😋Fancy a bit of a change from your usual dinner tonight?🍲✨

After the brilliant feedback that we had about our session learning about Afghan cuisine, this Friday we are holding the latest of our Cook & Eat sessions with help from our friends at Durham City of Sanctuary.

Cook and Eat Yemeni Cuisine - a flyer that basically says what it says in the body of the skeets. The main differences are that the time of the session on Friday is 11am-3pm and there is a nice picture of a semolina cake.
