Was Gemini 3 worth this response? I avoid this stuff for mental health reasons so I don’t know the context of this sentiment. But I am still concerned Google may be taking a front running position now
November 25, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Will this cause Googles downfall do you think?
November 25, 2025 at 2:11 PM
And can they turn that loss into a profit in the future or is that not possible even with market capture?
November 25, 2025 at 7:06 AM
Do you think they run their loads at a loss like the others?
November 25, 2025 at 6:22 AM
Why have they kept their spend so secretive as well? They have the TPU’s as well, aren’t they supposed to be a cost saver for them? Seems like they have more than one moat available to them
November 25, 2025 at 4:43 AM
They got of lightly for that didn’t they? Also, with the other anti-trust, I read the judge is worried that the appeal will kick any action way down the road. And we don’t actually know their spend and revenue from their llms do we? Not to mention Nano Banana and Veo
November 25, 2025 at 4:35 AM
He says they won’t be immune but they probably would be better than others would they?
November 25, 2025 at 4:29 AM
More on TPU’s could be good since Meta apparently is doing a deal for them but why has their build out not had as much scrutiny as other companies?
November 25, 2025 at 4:14 AM
Ed, you’ve looked at NVIDA very closely lately and given really good information. Is there any plan to do the same scrutiny on Google and its ai efforts? Google seems to be the only mag 7 company that isn’t circular financing NVIDA and seems to be the company Altman is most concerned about now
November 25, 2025 at 3:42 AM
Ed, the new Nano Banana Pro model has me seriously concerned that we aren’t running out of development road for ai image/video. Also, Google seems to be one of the only companies not caught up in the circular financing. With their ad revenue, are they likely to keep doing ai even if the bubble pops?
November 23, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Is it possible the looks give a better idea of what Google is burns/makes? They don’t seem to be doing circular financing and their balance sheets for ai seem opaque.

Also they just release another model today, specifically a new version of Nano Banana which as a creative is always dread inducing.
November 21, 2025 at 2:23 AM
That’s disappointing
November 19, 2025 at 2:21 AM
That is wild. Also, wanted to get your opinion on this, and your thoughts on what happens if cheaper hardware for the models does get developed with research like this?

A single beam of light runs AI with supercomputer power
Aalto University researchers have developed a method to execute AI tensor operations using just one pass of light. By encoding data directly into light waves, they enable calculations to occur natural...

Was the shiny charm in Arceus?
October 23, 2025 at 3:01 PM
So the actual costs of running it on the hardware isn’t reflected in this price chart? Sorry but given how obscure ai companies keep being with their finances I want to make sure I’m understand this right
October 1, 2025 at 1:58 AM
So this is the cost of actually running it and not just what Open Ai charges the user to run it on the Azure Cloud?
October 1, 2025 at 1:55 AM
I wish we knew the actual numbers since I think the prices they charge are much lower than running costs but without them it’s hard to imagine them not being used in some way. Especially by the execs who don’t care about the damage they do with it. It feels bleak
October 1, 2025 at 1:46 AM
I really hope this stays the case but the big push with these video models this year is soul crushing as someone who’s training in Film and Television at the moment. That ai actress that got advertised at that film festival was a real gut punch in how far these people will go to try and kill careers
October 1, 2025 at 1:18 AM
That’s a lot less than studios are paying for current productions
September 30, 2025 at 11:12 PM
That’s heartening. As some in film and tv, the diffusion models and their effects on the industry scare me for my future as a creative. I’m mostly hoping they suffer model collapse, the bubble economics cause them to shut down or the lawsuits make them impossible to legally run
September 30, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Wish I could go. Do you think once the bubble pops this ‘age of ai’ will end and its effects on creative industries will dissipate?
September 29, 2025 at 9:56 AM
It was an offhand mention but the fact he mentioned it at all is a red flag
May 12, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Does this effectively mean copyright is no longer a way to protect artists from ai theft
May 11, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Really feels like this stuff will never lose it’s (fake) credibility
March 19, 2025 at 12:46 PM
So is this podcast worth listening to?
