Opinion | Musk Said No One Has Died Since Aid Was Cut. That Isn’t True.
A journey through the front lines of global poverty shows that when the world’s richest men slash aid for the world’s poorest children, the result is sickness, starvation and death.

@empirepoduk.bsky.social Re your podcast about Cromwell in Ireland I remember a family holiday in Connemara in the ‘60s. Frequently lost we’d ask for directions to be instantly told of Cromwell’s destruction of the area until we were forced to explain that we were Royalists & on Charles I’s side.

I think our King should withdraw the invitation to Trump. Those scenes of 2 bullies rounding on a hero in the Oval Office were unbearable.

Trump needed Vance there to be able to answer the tough questions that Trump doesn’t understand. Zelensky needs to walk away from the USA. The EU and Canada and the UK will do the right thing. Trump’s administration is despicable run by deplorables. Shameful.

Zelensky held his own against both of them. I expected nothing less. He's been leading his nation for 3 years of war. He's been in it while Trump and Vance have lived their cushy ignorant lives.

The Norma Conquest of Vienna
It’s not often that rival opera companies in the same city schedule a new production of the same opera in the same season.

@jennykleeman.bsky.social I was born in 1950. My mother was in hospital for 10 days. She’d tell how one day they brought her a jaundiced skinny baby to feed that she knew was not me. (They claimed it was me as there was an O- sign). Fortunately she persisted & I was located and handed back to her.
