Honestly? Same. Since types still exist with dynamic typing, it feels bizarre to try and hide them in the way it does
I'm sure that there is SOME benefit to it, but personally I just find it gets in the way

Anyway, tamago is the japanese word for egg (hence the egg theming). Uotchi is a loanword from english. Its just the word watch. The more you know etcetc

This is actually a common misconception! Its instead a combination of the words watch and egg!

so its tamago + uotchi (ignoring the u) = tamagotchi

I only found this out very late game. And like, because you only get those stat boosts from bosses there's no way to grind. Meaning I was kind of fucked

I later replayed the game knowing this and yeag the boss actually wasn't that bad. But god, not what I needed to hear at the time 😭

So if you struggle with a boss and only beat it with 1 party member alive you're losing out on stat increases on the other party members. If this happens enough, then your health will be low enough to get one shot by some bosses
