Fought a 50-foot-tall clay golem today! I mean, I had him easy — honest!! Was protecting some fella called Wystan from Brass Blade lackeys before this tonne of rocks showed up. Pretty sure there was someone else there too… in a robe.

And WTF!! I got woken up very early by some thumping great Tortoise - and in the pouring rain too! Rain, in Thanalan of all places! Soaked and leaving Ul'dah behind, I struck out toward Black Brush Station. Word is, someone there requires a hand. A job... hopefully.

Day One! First, a little chap called Papashan wants me to track down a gal called Lalira. Then I met some strange dude called Thancred (who's kinda hot), and then we beat the crap out of some void thingy, where I found a crystal which made me sleep and speak to a ruddy great crystal in my dream!

En route to Ul'dah via Chocobo carriage. Some passengers on board, including some miserable kids! An old geezer kept talking to me, asking questions. THEN, we get bothered by actual soldiers wanting money! Thankfully, some locals turned up and distracted them! But I got to the city.

Had a good evening with some friends at the Costa del sol, during the Moonfire Faire. The devs should really keep this place in the game! It is such a fun hangout point.
