Sitting in the yard frying a turkey gives you time to ponder life's great mysteries, like why didn't they do a sequel to District 9 in 2012? It would've lined up with the timeframe of the aliens returning in the movie AND the end of the world predictions.

Fucked up and started playing satisfactory again last night. Now I'm sat here with actual work to do, and instead of doing that, I'm thinking about how to optimize production of metal rods and screws.

Refactored the combat system tonight to make it more interesting, but still not completely sold on it. Not sure how I want to handle armor and defense values either, for that matter. Will have to keep thinking on this one for a bit.

Small refactor this morning before starting on a big ol pot of gumbo. Implemented Diablo-style mouse movement and combat, and even figured out how to slow down actions during physics_process so the player isn't just zooming around.

The roguelike is coming along well, I'm really enjoying Godot. Even got a very talented artist friend working on an asset sheet for me so I don't have to use ASCII for once.
