Had a cup of coffee years back in the NBA as a scout for ten whole months. Now I mainly watch Ms Rachel and change diapers.

Valencia's Sergio De Lerrea gets some impressive rotation on these ball screen reads. Allows him to shrink the defenders passing lane window, pretty cool stuff.
Another stand out play from Darryn Peterson is this hit ahead in the early minutes of the game. Precision and touch very much on display for this length-of-the-floor pass.
Peterson finished with 21 pts on 7/11 shooting in just 22 minutes played. He also logged two steals, with this one leading to a basket in transition and feeling pretty effortless all around
A lot of strong performances across the college landscape for top draft prospects with Darryn Peterson being one of them for Kansas. Really fun play for Peterson here as the point of attack defender to avoid the foul.
Hold up…Koa Peat posted those type of numbers in his first college game against the defending champs?
Another display of Karim Lopez utilizing physical tools by using his strength to dislodge his defender leading to a tough off-hand finish over Jesse Edwards
Playing catch up on some Karim Lopez film from earlier this NBL season. Physical tools are pretty evident, as he displays here on a super tough take by absorbing contact while being able to stay in bounds in minimal space and hit a crafty reverse layup.
Off ball defense + recovery was fun in this one. Length and navigation while recovering allowed Dash Daniels to be a little more free flowing away from the ball and act as a disrupter. The dig + swipe pulls him slightly out of position, but Daniels still recovers for a high level contest.
On the flip side, Daniels gives up a slight edge to Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Jesse Edwards rotates late. Rather than utilize his length to try and funnel J-C to the baseline, Daniels makes a pretty weak attempt at a steal only to be bailed out by a New Zealand turnover on the drop off.
Dash Daniels from Melbourne United is up first! Overplays the passing lane a bit here but displays great recovery on a long closeout. By now we know that incredible defensive skills run in the family with the Daniels brothers and this is a nice look at those in action from the younger of the two.
Officially began video work on the 2026 draft class! Always an exciting day as the countdown to draft night and unofficially officially begin. Who is the first player on the docket? A few clips to follow.
Great poise from VJ Edgecombe late in the quarter. Gets an advantageous closeout, anticipates Champagnie selling out, hits the side step and takes the contact from Kyshawn George. Not rushed, passes on hitting Oubre on the cut due to the late clock, drains it plus one. Good stuff.
Might seem small and expected for an NBA player to make this read, but I like the awareness from Tre Johnson just a few games into his Rookie year. A scramble situation where he could have gotten lost and clogged up spacing but relocates to the open spot for a wide open catch and shoot.
Yes, I am sharing a clip from a 2013 Virginia Tech/UNC game where Erick Green makes a super impressive one handed, live dribble pass between two defenders with his off hand to find his teammate in stride for the basket.

And no, I don't have many hobbies. Why do you ask?
Nichols alum here. My dearest Bison not only allowed this to happen to them, but just last month gave up *92* points in one game. A season of historic accomplishments!

A local gem! Saw one today with her and Shooter McGavin.
Really fun read from Parker on what ended up being a super loaded class. Enjoy the Herb Jones love, who is easily one of my favorite players in the league right now. Fun class to watch and will only get more and more intriguing the 5+ years from now.
I ran a top-20 re-draft of the 2021 draft class, as they roll off their rookie deals onto second contracts.

Extra emphasis on the value Santi Aldama has yielded, the remaining restricted free agents, why two 2021 players were moved from contending teams

Where does Santi Aldama fall in a 2021 NBA re-draft?
With the 2021 NBA Draft class moving towards rookie deals, I run a re-draft with an emphasis on where Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama would land.
