a silly purple cat named Mak

i hate when people say ADHD isn't a disability. i can't do my work, i can't do chores, i can barely take care of myself every day, my memory is so bad i feel like i have dementia, and worst of all i can't even do the things i actually enjoy doing and want to do. but no, i just need to "try harder" 🫠

week three: Neon

week two: Vintage

i got busy so i'm doing two weeks' submissions at once :P
a black-on-white digital sketch of a creature called a "tainted drifter" from the game Vintage Story. the creature is a humanoid with bones made of metal rebar, and skin made of cloth. the cloth is ripped and tattered, and bits of bent rebar are protruding from underneath all over its body. gears can also be seen underneath the cloth. one arm is shorter than the other and has more bent rebar sticking out. the creature's head is like a hood with only darkness underneath. the reference, a screenshot of the creature's model from the game, is next to the sketch.

week one: Metal

turns out all you need to be good at art is free brush pack from itch.io
a digital drawing of three steel-type Pokemon. on the left is Meltan, a Pokemon made up of a blob of liquid metal as its body, and a golden hex nut as its head. it has a small red electrical wire sticking out from behind that looks like a tail. in the center is Honedge, a Pokemon that looks like a sword in a brown sheath with intricate curving patterns across it. there are three circles at the top that appear to be eyes, the one in the center is bright blue, and the others are white. there is a long, dark blue ribbon attached to the pommel that hangs down beside it, and ends in a bright blue swirling pattern. on the right is Bronzor, a Pokemon that appears as a disc of dark blue metal with six orbs equally spaced around the perimeter of the disc. there is a smaller orb in the middle that appears like a nose, and sits right between its two yellow eyes.

so wplace happened... and i guess i'm a pixel artist now. trying to think of some semi-niche things to rep on there, because i don't want to be the millionth person drawing deltarune art. my fave music artist (femtanyl) came to mind first :)

life has been really crazy and stressful lately. I feel bad having broken my daily drawing streak, but I needed the break. I'll get back to it soon!

this is a reminder that the most important thing to do when you fail to meet your own expectations is to forgive yourself, and keep trying.
