Me: TV? haven't used one of those in years, My VR is my TV now.
If Apple announces motion controllers support for the Vision Pro next week (per rumors), which existing VR titles do you think they'll demo on Stage?

My best is on WMG and Gravity Sketch, I feel like they fit Apple's brand and they already have an ios version.
Glad to know they are doing ai at its own event
What do mean? I thought it was the whole point besides 6dof and real life scale.
Just the first one? Guess they are testing the waters before they do the rest
Samsung's first live demo of Project Moohan was lacking and so cringe, it was mostly a showcase for Google's mediocre ai Gemini instead of Android XR.

I mean who the hell looks at thier photos and gets the urge to write a sloppy poem? Who is this use case for?

And why are they clapping lol
Looks like the XR industry has officially crowned this sleek, minimalist design as the aesthetic for high-end Mixed Reality headsets. Guess this is what "premium" looks like now and in the near future!
They want to dream them into reality?
Pretty good movie, I enjoyed it a lot.

I agree it gives Bodies Bodies Bodies vibes, I can also recommend Sissy 2022 and the Blackening 2022 for similar vibes.
You may soon (by 2026?) be able to send files between your iOS devices and your Meta Quest using AirDrop, as well as use the Quest as an AirPlay device, if Apple implements these European Commission proposals under the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
At least Google supports motion controllers on day one, and Samsung is making a 1st party controller for thier own headset.
Here is the first official screen recording from Project Moohan, Samsung's flagship Android XR headset.
So Lynx + Android XR + Hypervision optical stack = a small form factor standalone headset with H180°xV120° FOV?

If this happens, I might actually give Android XR a chance.

(Btw When will VR companies move beyond the ~100° range? They're getting too complacent with FOV)
We fully agree on this, they shouldn't be included in the box with Vision headsets but they should definitely be made by Apple and properly maintained and promoted by them just like the Apple Pencil. (Like how many ipadOS features are enhanced by the use of an Apple pencil)
I don't think so, Apple themselves are sitting on a mountain of controller patents including tracked controllers.
This argument doesn't hold true for the Apple pencil, it's clear that ipadOS is a touch first OS, making the Apple pencil and promoting heavily didn't change that.

Likewise I think they can do the same for VisionOS and controllers, the important thing is to not ship them in the box.
So true, who's gonna develop full on vr experiences for an even smaller percentage of an already small userbase?

But at least this displays some good faith and bodes well for the cheaper Vision headsets when ever they arrive.
Bob's burgers, S07E13: Bob gets a bad VR experience at a knockoff VR arcade that opens next door
Apple pencil is kinda the exception to the rule, and it benefits from being a first party accessory that's heavily pushed by Apple as a must have item.

I want vr controllers to stay optional but offered as a first party accessory from Apple, otherwise it may not stick.
Proper VR controler support and an ecosystem of apps that takes advantage of them was the only thing keeping from Apple's Vision headsets, let's hope this changes that.
With that said, a first party accessory would've been better and would've sent a stronger message about thier intent.

Let's see if a 3rd party solution can make an impact with both devs and users.
It was so obvious for people who've been using VR for years that Apple would change thier mind about "clumsy VR controllers" ....but I don't think anyone predicted that it would happen so soon.

This is a great thing and probably a sign that Apple is really listening to users.
Never mind....Meta CTO has refuted this.
