Hounds of Tindalos pre-suppose Puppies of Tindalos.
Drew a Hound of Tindalos from a short story by Frank Belknap Long, released in a short story collection of his work in 1946.

The hounds are creatures that exist outside of time and space. They can emerge in the form of smoke from any angle of a certain sharpness, like the corner of a room.

Very pleased and flattered to find that my story 'The Gwyll' made it onto Ellen Datlow's list of recommended horror for 2025. A massive thank you to @blackshuckbooks.bsky.social for giving it a home in Something Peculiar 9.

I am SHAMELESSLY hopping on this to suggest that if you're interested in how a Bronze Age fertility cult might use a carnyx to summon their boar-headed god Moccus and then eat him, you might like to read Bone Harvest, by me. 😎

You might think that you're growing up, maturing and putting childish things behind you, but you'll all meet up again after college and your games will be even more infantile than before.

This has nothing to do with Stranger Things. Honest.
