A student has been missing from my college campus since Friday evening, and online discussions around this disappearance are wrapped in anti-trans discourse.

I fucking hate people.

get in babe, we're LEFTOVERS posting
There is no doubt in my mind that the AI "actress" news we have been inundated with over the last few days comes from someone insignificant, latching onto an idea for relevance, and we will never hear from either of them ever again.

The trade presses just gobble that shit right up.

My favorite part of Jurassic Park is how Dr. Alan Grant takes his assumption as a paleontologist--that T-Rexes can't see you if you don't move--and just decides to test that theory out without trying any other plan.

Dr. Grant is about that praxis.

Mad respect.
If, upon witnessing political violence, you call for violence against those who oppose you (framed in terms of "spiritual warfare," calls for brute force, metaphorical violence, etc.), then you are not really against violence.

You just want your violence to feel justified by your politics.
it's in the 40s here in Vermont.

I am so so so proud to have been part of this effort.

Climate change is already a major threat to human life, health, and thriving. It is important that we get the most accurate science on the record to delineate that threat, so we can build a better future.

"Professor Sanchez described Homeland Security’s display of the painting as “memeifying famous art (which is perceived as ‘traditional’) to promote white racial attitudes (also perceived as ‘traditional’).”

Hey, I don't sound stupid, either!
"James Sanchez, who teaches writing and rhetoric at Middlebury College, said, “using this painting to promote a defense of ‘heritage’ and ‘homeland,’ both of which are dog whistle terms, asks the audience to interpret who is ‘scurrying’ away from the Trump administration and whose heritage matters.”
