Maneuvering The Nocturnal Hum

I don’t mention this in the new INVENTORY but the Clientele’s version of an obscure Shack/Mick Head song called Closer is one of their most sublime, mysterious and magical recordings. You’re welcome. @backlisted.bsky.social theclientele.bandcamp.com/album/closer

Beautiful unhurried proggy pastoral folk from Melbourne artist Francis Plagne.

File next to Jim O’Rourke, Anthony Moore, Duncan Browne, Gorkys, Nagisa Ni Te, Chris Cohen & late era Pastels.

One of my fave records of last few years

Dunno if I just wasn’t in the mood for it when it came out but repeat plays a few months down the line have elevated this from *good comeback to *best thing they’ve done since Cobra & Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night. So only right really that i bought myself a copy the CD.

Deeply moving/human experimental music / noise / field recordings from Beirut artist Yara Asmar. Listened to this obsessively since first hearing a few weeks ago.

My album of the year I think.

off all the hobbies I could think of, logging onto your social media app of choice to whine about politicians every day from 7am til 11pm is the most depressing one I could think of. Go set a wheelie bin on fire or something at least, you’re doing fuck all on here
