Blueshirt presidential candidate with ties to anti-Irish Catholic hate group speaks on breaking down communities with division, preconceived notions and prejudices

If it was multinational corporations in distress you could be sure Erin would resolve the issue immediately whilst ignoring workers in this case. The strongest tool workers have is withdrawing their labour, strike till victory, up the workers. #pensionparity
"Hey Erin, where's our pensions?" Great to see all the striking workers outside Fianna Fáil TD Erin McGreehan's office. (1/2)
Get out to support the picket lines on Monday, a win for these workers can put manners back on this arrogant government inspiring other workers to fight back.

School secretaries are in a similar position. The caretakers and secretaries are vital to the functioning of our schools and deserve the same conditions as the other workers.

I met Brian, a caretaker of 22 years at the national rally for pension parity for school secretaries and caretakers yesterday.

He was telling me he’s not even on the public sector payroll, no pension and if a bereavement occurs on the weekend he’s back to work on the Monday.

israel has murdered Palestinian football icon Suleiman Al-Obeid whilst he was waiting for aid in Gaza. Instead of FIFA and UEFA kicking out israel from competitions, all they have done is fine football fans for displaying solidarity with Palestine.
•Make use of budgeted funding to buy empty homes and buildings
•Funds taken in to be ring fenced for renovating CPO properties

We call on Louth County Council to:
•Stop plans to halt 2026 rates for vacancy
•Increase rates to full 100% on vacant & derelict buildings
•Add identified derelict properties to the Derelict Sites Register

(2/3)
We delivered our submission to Louth County Council to prevent any tax breaks for vacant landlords supported by 560 households and individuals.

Landlords don’t need anymore handouts, they need to be penalised.

(1/3)
It only makes sense if you’re a multi property landlord or political groups that represent their interests, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.

(2/2)
Back out on the doors last night with our petition, link to sign also in bio.

The idea that a select few who have the luxury of hoarding vacant property could receive tax breaks seems ludicrous to the vast majority of us who will never be in this position.

(1/2)
The council has the money to tackle vacancy but hasn’t used it and they haven’t bothered to collect any of the Derelict Sites Levy.

This is more of the same, landlord council and government looking after their landlord mates.

Sign the petition (linktr.ee/pbpdundalk) no tax breaks for vacant landlords!

Louth County Council is considering cutting the rates on empty properties in 2026. We don’t need to incentivise vacant landlords to utilise their properties, we need to penalise them.

Whether it’s ignorance, cynicism or a mixture of both it doesn’t work. We’ve gone through the effort of making a graphic to demonstrate this, hopefully the government see this and take it on board but I doubt that.

The response from Local Fianna Fáil TD to our Equality in Education protest typifies how the government responds to crisis.

(1/2)
If it was the landlords or bankers in crisis, you could be sure they’d be looked after immediately. Marginalised families and children are still waiting for answers.

#equalityineducation
Parents, children and supporters of the Equality in Education campaign outside Fianna Fáil TD Erin McGreehan’s office demanding their kids and all kids have an appropriate school place this September.

(1/2)
In a society based on competition and exploitation the most marginalised disproportionately suffer. To challenge this we are building community and a society of care, get involved.

(3/3)

#equalityineducation
If this can’t be met, the government has demonstrably failed some of the most marginalised children and families in society.

(2/3)
Proud to have organised this public demonstration yesterday with 4AL/All Abilities Action Alliance Louth.

We have a simple demand, that every child with additional needs in Louth has an appropriate school place in September.

Tomorrow!
Join the demonstration - This Saturday @ 12 noon in the Market Square Dundalk

We can't divorce mental health distress from the underpinnings of the economic system we live under. Capitalism produces isolation and loneliness, rising mental health issues will be endemic until we challenge the system itself.
#mentalhealth #socialism
Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the free state commit social murder by chronically underfunding mental health services, implementing harmful public policies and creating intolerable living conditions for many.
