I prefer the concept of quantum superpositioning for the jolly fat man
(Layman's terms: he's everywhere at the same time)

I think I figured it out eventually lol, now if only I could figure out how to increase the render distance...

Look at that beautiful pixel art 3D render!

I mean, there were a lot of bullshit games made during the '80s and 90s...
(I will never forgive the TMNT water level!)

Honestly, the art direction on the original tools definitely needs to be heavily revamped by Mojang.

I'm just sad that I spoiled the game for myself by watching it, so when I eventually get to play it, I won't be able to experience it all for the first time
December 14, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Perhaps give some attention to what my buddies at Springloaded have made!
December 14, 2025 at 2:16 PM
It honestly depends on the niche of what the art is for.

2. After a few painstaking hours, I made this sexy ass airship from scratch, because existing art was not filling the niche I needed. Honestly if I was going to make this game, I would base the style off of Steel Empire on the Genesis

Here's a small update on that airship game idea I had earlier:

1. Since this is mostly concept art, I decided to steal FF6's mode7 graphics (specifically parts from the ending, thanks TSR!) since I don't plan on making my own tiling terrain until it is onboarded as a real game project.

Wew, who knew designing a game mock-up in #Crocotile would be so rough? I couldn't even figure out how to make the terrain I nabbed off of OGA larger so that it would look like mode-7 terrain

I just had a suddenly interesting idea, remember those vehicle combat sections in super Star Wars? What if that formula was turned into its own game, as like some sort of steampunk shmup?

So, I flipped through my image uploads in an old friend's discord server, and I discovered some armor designs that I'll probably revive in the future

Keep in mind too that it wasn't just the CRT pulling weight, on the Genesis, the console's video out was a bit blurry, so it helped with the effects a lot

If you're looking for the best tool for the job, Aseprite. The devs absolutely deserve the money for their labor, but if you need to affordably try it first, look up LibreSprite.
December 13, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Lol yeah. The only reason I'm touching my EGS library now is just because I'm using Heroic on Linux now, and even then, I've only downloaded a couple games from it
December 13, 2025 at 2:54 AM
But let's be honest, it's a very healthy filter, because those games that cannot live without DRM? A lot of the time, they suck.
December 13, 2025 at 2:53 AM
I dunno, GoG is slowly getting better over time. It would be reasonable to expect that so long as they don't shoot themselves in the foot, they'll eventually become better than Steam
December 13, 2025 at 2:52 AM
I've been personally sticking to CDPR's storefront Good Old Games for most of my purchases now. Their customer service usually is a lot more responsive (and more importantly, I actually OWN the games I buy)
December 13, 2025 at 2:50 AM
I figure sending one myself wouldn't hurt.
December 13, 2025 at 2:49 AM
... Man, Valve's moderation really has gone down the shitter

Psst, I might recommend studying a couple walk cycle tutorials

Pretty much, it makes you aware of your subconscious actions within your process. I personally use it in order to refresh myself on certain processes in my own art!

I highly recommend using aseprite record to get a proper time lapse, you'd be surprised with what you learn by rewatching your own process repeatedly
