The women characters feel like they were created by a man for consumption by men. When I left feeling icky, I tried to reflect on whether I was just being prudish, but your comments help me understand what I started to pick up on

Incredible reporting on PFAS and 3M's coverup of their spread, accumulation, ability to be passed to babies, and harm. Having difficulty deciding which syllabus to add this to. Maybe several.

Toxic Gaslighting: How 3M Executives Convinced a Scientist the Forever Chemicals She Found in Human Blood Were Safe
Decades ago, Kris Hansen showed 3M that its PFAS chemicals were in people’s bodies. Her bosses halted her work. As the EPA now forces the removal of the chemicals from drinking water, she wrestles wit...

I just finished making MY OWN maps for Nepal, one with district divisions and one with province divisions. Please clap.

Be kind, archaeologists, for this is not part of the skill set of cultural anthropologists.

It is a wild time to be teaching critical global health in a US university. Each class period seems to end with, "And now, everything we just discussed is in flux."

I am finally cleared to return to normal activities!🏃🏻‍♀️
It’ll take about 2 months to regain the fitness I lost from bed rest 😞
And I still can’t see well, so apologies for awkward moments in the hallway—I swear I’m not ignoring you 😉

I despise the infiltration of huge LED screens into schools, hospitals, and conferences. Not every institution needs to look like Times Square

The Nepal unrest forced me back onto the bad place where the Nepali journalists are, and I'm only now realizing the extent to which journalists, average folks, and even tourists are at risk. During the People's War, I was always safe. I would not be if I were in Kathmandu right now.
