I write. I read. I am a tabletop RPG player. I also have my life managed by cats, guinea pigs, and my garden.

Thank you! I walked out to water them as we were setting up the photo and had an INSPIRATION!!
I'm going to keep it on the stem and bury just under the surface. We shall see!
Splendid! We have a wildflower that volunteered out front that seems to be a yellow aster. When it goes to seed, I plan to cut and see if I can seed scatter out back.
All RIGHT!! I'm so very pleased. I'm reading your first Sworn Soldier book, What Moves the Dead. I am a mycology geek, so it's making me very happy.
I just bought new glasses! Pricy, because I have a strong prescription, but I had a delightful chat with the person who helped me, and he really did his best to get me a good deal. SO appreciated.
Watanuki made a hard choice. Since it's Clamp, not American comics, there's no quit reset at the end.
Clamp draws so cute and elegant that many who would love their stories never get beyond the cover. Pity, as they do a lot with morals and ethics. I haven't seen Rei. Heard that x/1999 probably won't continue for complicated reasons.
My sister has talked about the value of books--where you know no matter how tough it gets, the problem will be solved ethically and morally, not just puzzle solved. I wonder WHY I'm hooked on such stories now?
This is something like my 3rd or 4th read. Tsubasa is underrated by many as a "tour of the Clampverse," when it's a really complex tale. Only complaint is that it's hard to tell eye color in b&w and that's important. I love Holic, but wish the ending didn't leave our protag stranded out of time.
I'm just in from transplanting basil from the ground into pots that we'll do our best to winter over.
Amusing... I go back further than this!
We did! It went well... And I was asked to bring grey humus to a Halloween party. Amusing coincidence that I was just telling you about it!
Sounds good! I put sesame oil on my oatmeal. Need a lot less than I would butter, and it's SO tasty!
I'm going to need get out the thesaurus, because I'm I'm starting to feel saying "gorgeous" all the time is going to seem insincere. Thanks for being a purveyor of beauty when we need it so much!
Time to check garlic prices at Costco... YUM! I also make humus regularly. I learned how easy it is to make tahini. Last time, I tried black sesame seeds. The tahini was BLACK. The humus was charcoal--but tastes great!
I seriously love BSP--silly and serious side by side, and some nice homages to Harlock and to Sailor Moon. If you haven't seen it, the movie is also very good.
There are better and worse examples. Certainly computer animated starships are terrific--I'm thinking of Last Exile and Bodacious Space Pirates, compared to the classic Captain Harlock--but I'll take Harlock, old style and all, for the stylish presentations.
I'm not a huge fan of computer animation... I keep trying and trying, but all of what you said in this thread.
Jim has enjoyed a lot of YOUR photos, so I'll be sure to pass along this compliment.
