Retired accountant, grandmother, liberal, skeptical, atheist. My kids grew up to be a sci-fi/furry writer and a therapist - both difficult professions. (she/they)
I cancelled my subscription to @washingtonpost when they pulled the endorsement of Kamala Harris under orders from Jeff Bezos. Today's firing of so many talented journalists confirmed my decision. I will miss what WaPo used to be, not what it has become.

My aspirational dream is that Trump is put in a straitjacket and escorted out of the Whitehouse and into a padded cell, and then stripped of his profits from the office he has disgraced for the past year.

After listening to Rachel Maddow Presents: Burn Order, I am reading The Poet and the Silk Girl: A Memoir of Love, Imprisonment, and Protest. The author was born in a detainment camp during WW2, her parents were both US Citizens. It is an amazing narrative. I recommend both it and the podcast.

This week's "Why Is This Happening - The Chris Hayes Podcast" is a conversation with Jia Tolentino (NewYorker staff writer) recorded last June entitled "My Brain Finally Broke" and it is very thought provoking. I recommend seeking it out.

Just listened to "Rachel Maddow Presents Burn Order" on MSNOW as a podcast. Those two episodes will be available Dec 1 to non-subscribers. Everyone should listen to this podcast. Rachel Maddow is a national treasure and one hell of a reporter/historian

1/@rahaeli.bsky.social My daughter began reading your posts here and surmised from information you pointed to that she has MCAS. She also became convinced that I also have MCAS. Fast forward a little more than a year, and we're both being treated for MCAS,

hey, @chrislhayes.bsky.social, why is your podcast for tonight on MSNBC Premium riddled with ads - I complained a while back, but the problem went away. It's back tonight 11/05/25.

It is no surprise that Speaker Mike Johnson is following the playbook of Mitch McConnell - refusing to swear in Rep. Adelita Grijalva is much like refusing to take a vote on Pres. Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court, leaving that seat for Trump to fill. This is WRONG.

Thank you to the Roberts Supreme Court majority for giving us a US president who orders extrajudicial murders without fear of consequences, since you granted him complete immunity. WTF is wrong with them that they would grant immunity to a convicted felon, fraudster, & sexual offender?

After several calls from a Courtland CA# in 2 days, I picked up & a deep-voiced man claimed I "won" a 2025 Mercedes & a lot of cash. I did not enter a contest. I told him to stop calling & he started calling from a Las Vegas NV#. 9 calls in the past 15 minutes.

Interesting that Jimmy Kimmel saying something that turned out to be incorrect caused the head of the FCC to call for his firing, when Fox"News" broadcasts clear lies every day without a peep.
