Yo guys, I decided to come to Bluesky! As a housewarming gift, I'll write your name in Japanese.

The only thing you need to do is to write the name you want and in case the pronuciation is not clear, please also give me hints on how to pronounce it.
The reason: in Japanese,

(art itsR4bb1t)
Sans the skeleton - in a fancy suit - teaches kanji. Here you see the kanji for bone - 骨 (ほね) pronounced ho-ne.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Teacher Red has been working on these slides! He made them easy to understand, so that people who usually struggle with grammar will get it, too. He's such a patient guy, don't you think?
Btw, that's the emoji Japanese people use for Red 🌭 they call him マスタード mustard

Art: itsR4bb1t

#undertale
Teacher Red teaches は and が but seems to be a little frustrated/angry. The chalk broke under all the pressure while writing on the blackboard.

(My) Sans shows up in this video! Because his skull is just perfectly mochi/dango shaped :D

The answer is always spaghetti 😆

Using chestnuts and azuki beans, what do you think I will make?

(I made a short video clip)

Even Toby says it himself! Go and study Japanese if that's what you long for 😁
I am here to support you! 💪

Hide that he's human.

I uh... think I gotta rewatch this one 🤣
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
I do think 魔入りました入間くん shares a liiiitle bit of what I like about Undertale. The monsters. They are (as far as I remember) afraid of humans. The school song talks about how they will devour humans, though. And Iruma is the human who somehow ends up in their world...
Chaos and fun when he tries to
japanesewithmanu.bsky.social
I love what they did with lots of words/kanji in this anime 😆

For example 魔茶 matcha (usually it's 抹茶). Instead of 抹 they use 魔, meaning demon.

Even the name of the anime has several kanji puns 😁

Also, the anime is cute and colorful! The music is typical for this genre.

Welcome to Demon School is finally coming back.

Instead of itadakimasu, Sans would say: いただくぞ、パピルス! itadakuzo, papirusu! when his brother offers him spaghetti.
That's a more colloquial way, especially for guys.

And when he finishes the dish, he's gonna say: ごちそうさん gochisousan. He uses 'san' instead of the more polite さま sama.

(Or ask Stretch - he's my fav.)

That's Alex. He's learning Japanese. But so far, he only knows words like baka, omae, shine, konnichiwa and watashi.

In case you want to learn more, come to my 3 hour Japanese crash course and learn basic grammar, vocabulary and your first Japanese characters!

Alex wears a plaid shirt (red/white) and has a fancy black hat that - according to someone else - is a little bit small. But it's perfect the way it is.

I think skeletons only take steambaths anyway 蒸し風呂 (mushi-buro). 蒸(む)す musu means "to steam"

Have you ever wondered why there's the kanji for wind 風 (かぜ, Japanese pronunciation) kaze in bath お風呂(ふろ)o-furo?

I am pretty sure cat meat balls would work on skeletons! Edge having Doomfanger on his lap, absentmindedly fondling his paws while calming down after a long day of guard duty.

I also think Sans would love it if he had a kitty.

Anybody gonna draw me a cat petting Sans?
japanesewithmanu.bsky.social
I present you some 肉球(にくきゅう niku-kyuu) meatballs XD it's the Japanese word for cute paws of cats and dogs.

I recently started watching an anime where the cat offers their 肉球 to make their owner 飼(か)い主(ぬ)し kai-nushi feel better 😁

#japaneselanguage #kanji
Cat paw in white pink and black. One claw is slightly visible.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
He definitely would! XD

I used to use a sword for my singing lessons (provided by my teacher). It magically helped by stabilizing my voice!

Red is going to tease you for liking him. Of course, he expects you to catch up by the next lesson. Ganbare!
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Did you know that the skeleton monster who teaches Japanese grammar at Japanese with Skele is Red?

Don't make him angry by not understanding the difference between the particles は (wa) and が (ga). Take one of his lessons or (better) get the book Reading Japanese for Beginners 😇

(Art by itsR4bb1t)
Skeleton monster Red is writing on a blackboard (it says は and が) and breaks the chalk. His face looks annoyed/angry.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Sans 何がほしいかな nani ga hoshii kana (hmm, what do I wish for)
Papyrus どうせケチャップでしょう douse kechappu deshou (it's gonna be ketchup anyway)
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Talking about Tanabata - and wishing on the stars
What would Sans and Papyrus wish for? I am thinking to make a podcast episode/video about their wishes. Please share your ideas (in English or Japanese)!

Meaning/translation of what Sans and Papyrus say below

japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Is Sans Orihime or Hikoboshi? At least he would be as lazy as them 😆

Me wearing a dress in the style of Orihime, the weaver princess. In the background there is Tanabata decoration made of paper, and a big moon.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
That reminds me of that scene in the movie Wasabi. There, they also spread the ashes (into the ocean.)
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
The way they go about it is quite practical, right?
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
I wonder what kind of customs monsters have when someone they were close with dusted.
japanesewithmanu.bsky.social
We have an unfortunate death in the family. The funeral 葬式(そうしき) is this weekend. It's my first funeral in Japan, so I had to get suitable clothes. There's a special section for 喪服(もふく) mourning clothes in apparel stores. Also, people wear pearl 真珠(しんじゅ) jewelry to represent their tears.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Let's make one! ✨️💪🌧
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
Most of Japan has entered the rainy season besides Hokkaido which does not have a rainy season

Here's a podcast episode for important vocabulary:
japanese-with-skele.podigee.io/5-rainy-seas...

(both pic and episode are from two years ago)

#undertale #underswap #japaneselanguage #japaneselesson
Underswap Papyrus sits in a gloomy room with a Sans doll (teru-teru-bouzu, a doll to prevent rain) dangling in front of the window. Outside, there are hydrangeas.
japanesewithskele.bsky.social
I wonder if/which skeleton would like this kind of flavor 😆 Blue maybe?
japanesewithmanu.bsky.social
I tried an interesting fruit...

面白いフルーツを食べてみた
おもしろいフルーツをたべてみた
Omoshiroi fruutsu wo tabete-mita

ちょっぺい choppei is a local dialect for ちょっと chotto, 'a little'
